Back Through the Breach

A long time ago, in a land far, far away…

Harsh, Rezin and Barabas Murdertooth headed back to Marrthorn with the dead Deuce Brickinson being dragged in a litter. They arrived after midnight and awoke Kharas, the town priest of Neto. The group did not have sufficient funds to pay to have their leader resurrected, but Kharas took what they good give along with reassurances that The Smashing Bastards would fulfill their mission to retrieve Final Death for the one-armed dwarf.

With Deuce fully restored, they headed out again to Darthow Monastery. They again entered through the breach in the wall a trudged through the feygrove toward a distant bell tower. When they arrived in the area, they spotted an eladrin female being chased by two displacer beasts. She fell to the ground and the commotion awoke a small flock of stirges nesting in the ruined tower. The stirges immediately attacked the woman while the displacer beasts shifted their attention to the companions. Deauce found the beasts hard to focus on and could not land any blows. Rezin and Barabas were much more successful, and Harsh was able to hit two of the stirges with his throwing stars. But the displacer beasts showed no signs of weakening and stirges continued to suck the life from the mysterious eladrin…

Deuce is Dead

A long time ago, in a land far, far away…

Deuce Brickinson, Harsh, Rezin and Barabas Murdertooth continued battling two owlbears that emerged from a dilapidated shack in the overgrown grove surrounding [[Darthow Monastery]. Harsh used his ninja skills to strike at the beasts with throwing stars and his katana. However, Rezin’s spells continued to miss the targets and Barabas stood stunned from the shrieking creatures. One of the owlbears was eventually destroyed, throwing the other into a frenzy. It killed Deuce and then tried to take down Barabas. Under threat, Barabas came to his senses and struck a lethal blow to the creature’s neck. With their leader now dead, The Smashing Bastards decided to head back to Marrthorn in hopes of rest and resurrection…

Owlbear Onslaught!

A long time ago, in a land far, far away…

Deuce Brickinson, Harsh, Rezin and Barabas Murdertooth searched the area where they recently chased off a coven of nymphs. In a pool of clear water the mercenaries discovered a bag of holding containing gems, jewels and gold. During the night, the nymphs revisited the area, but took off after realizing the group was camped in the opening. The next day, the companions spotted a ruined bell tower in the distance and decided to investigate. During the trek, Harsh stumbled upon a dilapidated shack with two owlbears inside. He tried to sneak away, but the creatures caught his scent. Knowing he was discovered, Harsh went on the offensive and threw shurikens at the creatures. The enraged monsters roared from their lair and attacked. The duo eventually took down Deuce, but with the help of Barabas, the dwarf recovered. With one owlbear showing signs of succumbing to the onslaught, the battle wages on…

Nymphos

A long time ago, in a land far, far away…
Deuce Brickinson, Harsh, Rezin and Barabas Murdertooth continued battling Horde scouts that interrupted them on their mission way to Darthow Monastary. The mercenaries won the battle and stripped the enemy bodies of loot before heading out again. After a preliminary search of the grounds, they entered a breach in the wall that surrounded the hill of Darthow.

They found themselves in a lush, overgrown garden before hearing singing voices. The foursome discovered five beautiful nymphs near a clear pool. The frisky females wanted the group to share secrets with them as a game. But when Rezin confessed to his love of butt milk, the companions realized the price for playing the game was their constitution. The group decided to quit the game, but the nymphs grew enraged and attacked with whispers on the wind…

During the battle the barbarian and his steed were halted by blasts of wizard ice and fighter fire. However, several orc soldiers and goblin archers arrived as reinforcements. But despite fresh troops, the enemies continued to fare poorly against the heroes…

On to Glory and Riches!

A long time ago, in a land far, far away…

Deuce Brickinson, Harsh, Rezin and Barabas Murdertooth traveled across a bridge over a swift stream toward the town of Marrthorn. Just after the bridge, they discovered signs of a recent confrontation, but the only thing left behind was a chainsaw sword. Deuce claimed the weapon and they headed out. At Marrthorn, they met with Lord Grebes who offered them gold to bring back information about Rodaag Wildfist’s hordes quartered at the nearby Darthow Monastery. At the Lord’s suggestion, they also visited Kharas, a dwarven monk of Neto. He offered the group an additional gold to bring back information about the ancient minotaur temple the monastery was supposedly built upon, as well as the return of the sword called Final Death. They also met an Eladrin sage named Valthrun that offered his knowledgeable services in exchange for the Winterbole Codex that was said to be hidden in the monastery. With missions in hand and funding secured, the companions set out to enter the monastery grounds through a breach in its outer wall. After several hours of travel, they encountered a barbarian riding a large wolf. The animal howled to the sky and the barbarian held his great ax aloft in anticipation of battle…

They were heeding the call of a Lord Grebes who was looking for adventurers to help in securing his town against the minions of Rodaag Wildfist quartered at Darthow Monastery. On the road toward Marrthorn, they came to a wooden bridge crossing a swiftly moving stream. Trees on both sides of the road gave way to long grass and rocky banks.
